A Lot of History

There was a lot of history in the room when I spoke to the Summit County OSU Alumni Club this past Tuesday evening in Akron.  It was a long journey for me, but I hope a good time was had by all.  Both the history and the journey parts are fitting though.  As I stood before the group in the handsome, paneled, dining room of the Portage Country Club (one of the oldest clubs in the country and established by the Goodrich family in 1894), I told the story and  history of another journey, that began even earlier in the 1860’s.  That of course is the story line of Myles Traveled.  One of the particularly pertinent things I was thrilled to share this time was the story of what I say is the greatest performance ever by an Ohio State receiver in Memorial Stadium in Oklahoma.  And no, that is not the unbelievable game and catch last Saturday by our own Noah Brown.  As grand as that was, what could ever top that?  Well, you will have to read the book and find out!  Thanks for the club for including me in their event and Go Bucks!
