Myles Traveled is a great story. It’s an inspirational story. It’s the American Dream.”

Tough Job But Someone Had To Do It!

I have been quiet on here, but not because things have not been happening with Myles Traveled! On January 30, 2016 the OSU Alumni Association flew me to Orlando Florida, to be featured speaker at annual meeting of the Tri-County OSU Alumni Club. When they asked me to go, I told the Alumni Association that Florida in January was a pretty tough job, but someone had to do it!

Jenny and I were greeted warmly, both by the club and by the 70 degree Florida sunshine! Approximately 135 Buckeyes attended the club dinner and relished in my tales of Coach Myles and his life story. When my toughest critic (my wife Jenny!) tells the kids “Dad did a great job”, well, I know I did at least okay. Several of those attending left with their owned signed copy of Myles Traveled.

Prior to the event the club officers gave Jenny and I a wonderful tour of The Villages complex including lunch at the famed Arnold Palmer Golf Course there. We were most impressed! Thanks to club officers and members Phil, Sue, Barb, Donna, and Charlene, as well as Brendan Braaten, OSU Alumni Regional Engagement Officer, for being such gracious and fun hosts! A good time was had by all.  See the photos below

I am now on the OSU Alumni List for event speakers, so if your club is looking for an idea, give it consideration.
